Interfaith Dinner: A Night of Cultural Exchange and Learning

The recent Interfaith Dinner brought together individuals from various cultures and faiths, fostering an atmosphere of understanding and connection. The highlight of the evening was a keynote speech by a representative of the Hindu faith, who shared insights about his church in Melbourne and the various activities they engage in.

The event began with an interactive session where participants were encouraged to leave their seats and introduce themselves to strangers. This initiative was particularly well-received, as it facilitated mingling and breaking the ice among attendees. Overall, the evening was marked by a spirit of camaraderie and cultural exchange.

While the event was a success in many ways, it provided valuable insights into the need for more inclusive planning for future gatherings. Our group noted some areas where improvements could be made to better accommodate all participants, particularly those living with dementia.

We believe in learning from every experience. Our goal is to contribute to the enhancement of future events, ensuring they are inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

Reflecting on this event, we recognise the importance of continuous improvement and community feedback. We are committed to advocating for inclusive and enriching experiences for all members of our community.

As we move forward, we look forward to participating in more interfaith and cultural events, bringing diverse groups together and learning from each interaction.
