GreenConnect’s Summer Break: A Time to Recharge and Plan Ahead

GreenConnect’s Summer Break: A Time to Recharge and Plan Ahead

As the festive season winds down and the summer heat ramps up, GreenConnect is taking a short pause in Mildura through January. This time of year brings many planned celebrations for participants and carers, making it a natural opportunity to take a step back and recharge.

For our nature-based programs, the extreme summer temperatures present an additional challenge. While we love connecting with nature, we recognise that the comfort and wellbeing of our participants come first. The soaring heat can make outdoor activities unpleasant, particularly for people living with dementia, so we’re using this break to plan ahead for cooler days.

But don’t worry—there’s plenty to look forward to! We’ll be back in February with a new lineup of enriching activities designed to inspire, connect, and support our participants and their carers. From tranquil garden visits to innovative community projects, we can’t wait to share what’s next.

In the meantime, check out the Activities section of our site later this month to catch a glimpse of what’s coming up. Stay safe, enjoy the holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!
